Under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Dr. Adel Abdul Mahdi, Iraq launched, in conjunction with World Children's Day, the results of the multi-indicator cluster survey, the sixth round of 2018, on monitoring and measuring progress in adopting the rights of children and women in Iraq.
This came during the ceremony held at the Babylon Hotel in Baghdad in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers d. Mahdi Al-Alaq, Minister of Planning and Finance The Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ms. Marta Ruidas, UNICEF Representative in Iraq Mr. Peter Hawkins and World Bank Representative Ms. Yara Salem, as well as a number of diplomatic missions and international organizations in Iraq to launch the data and results of the cluster survey conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics The Kurdistan Region, the Federal Ministry of Health and the Region, and the support and funding of UNICEF.
The head of the Steering Committee of the survey d. Mahdi Al-Alaq said that the results will contribute to improving the situation of women and children in Iraq through the provision of accurate data for decision makers and policy-makers, adding that the survey was based on internationally approved scientific methodologies and is considered from large surveys with good representation of the community, (20020), the main index of the family, women and children (health, nutrition, education, education, culture, social and basic services, 40% of which are related to sustainable development).
The ceremony witnessed a brief presentation of the findings of the cluster survey, documentaries and effectiveness of the children of the Institute for the Children of Deaf and Mute.

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of  Finance / Planning attended the ceremony of Dr. Fuad Hussein, the Minister of Planning held on the occasion of the launching of the multi-indicator cluster survey, the sixth round of 2018 in Iraq.


The ceremony was held at the Kalgamesh Hall at the Babel Hotel in Baghdad, which was also attended by Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Dr. Mahdi Al-Alaq, Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs of the United Nations Mr. Martha Ruidas, UNICEF Representative in Iraq Mr. Peter Hawkins, Awad, as well as representatives of embassies and international organizations operating in Iraq, as well as representatives of ministries and related parties 




The MP said in a speech during the ceremony: The launch of these results comes within the series of achievements of the Central Bureau of Statistics and the Kurdistan Regional Statistics Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the United Nations Children's Fund UNICEF. The development of mother, newborn and child can not be considered as a separate entity from the social reality. Therefore, development and care in this area is a fundamental objective of sustainable development, indicating that ensuring the survival of the child and protecting his security and expanding his participation is not the responsibility of one or the other side.
