[ltr]- Trade Minister Mohammed al-Ani discussed Monday with the Indonesian ambassador Banbang Antrexo, Iraq's ambassador to Iraq, to raise the level of trade balance and activate the agreements signed between Iraq and Indusia, as well as discuss the possibility of concluding new agreements and the upcoming visit of the high-level Indonesian delegation to Iraq.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The Iraqi government is keen to open up prospects for joint cooperation in the fields of trade, economic and investment exchange and exchange of experiences to serve the common interests of both countries," Al Ani said.[/ltr]
[ltr]Noting that 'Iraq lives in the era of economic openness to various countries of the world and included in the government program as a past towards the market economy and the fertile land and attractive to many investment projects and various fields'.[/ltr]
[ltr]Al-Ani pointed out that Iraq and Indonesia have long-standing ties to the economic, commercial, scientific and technical cooperation and look forward to activating the agreement and opening new horizons for bilateral cooperation with other countries and projects.[/ltr]
[ltr]Expressing the 'readiness of the Ministry of Commerce to cooperate with the companies of Indonesia and businessmen to see the investment opportunities available to them. Praising the participation of Indonesia in the events of the 45th session of the Baghdad International Fair '.[/ltr]
[ltr]For his part, the ambassador stressed the keenness of the government of his country to see the volume of trade exchange significantly increased and promote ways to develop economic and trade relations with Iraq.[/ltr]
[ltr]Stressing the 'need to strengthen relations and partnerships between the private sector of the Indonesian and Iraqi and to find real partnerships to enter into investment and development projects as well as increased exchange of visits between the two governments and the private sector in both countries'.[/ltr]
