Sadr: Kuwait needs Iraq, do not shorten it

BAGHDAD /

The leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al-Sadr, called on Saturday to stand by the State of Kuwait and not fail with it because of the exposure of a violent wave of floods.

"Our dear neighbor, Kuwait, needs its neighbor Iraq, so do not shorten it," Sadr wrote in a tweet through Twitter. "The people of Iraq are very proud and dignified."

It is noteworthy that the State of Kuwait was subjected to a violent wave of floods, on Friday evening, which led to the injury of 409 citizens, according to official statements of the Kuwaiti Health Ministry.
