Iraq |Analysts criticize the US Embassy statement on Al-Hashd Al-Sha'bi and US sanctions

Political analysts had criticized the statement issued by the US Embassy in Baghdad on the support Al-Hashd Al-Sha'bi forces get from Iran even they are under the control of Iraqi government. US Embassy's statement had emphasized on Iraq's full commitment towards the implementation of US sanctions against Iran which became active starting this Monday morning. The analysts who criticized US Embassy built their criticism on the fact that this statement interferes in the Iraqi internal affairs, they debated that Iraq will not implement sanctions fully because they are imposed by a single country not by an international organization. As per the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it denounced this statement and urged the US Embassy to delete the paragraphs that derogate sovereignty.
