The main challenges facing a number of statistical structures in Arab countries are the production of statistical data and indicators according to the latest international evidence and methodologies. To this end, the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) has prepared six questionnaires on government finance statistics, sustainable development, quarterly national accounts, application of statistical evidence and methodologies, statistical publications and balance of payments statistics for the statistical centers, central banks and Arab monetary institutions and ministries of finance in Arab countries. The results of these questionnaires will be presented to you during the meeting.

These and other topics on your agenda are part of the statistical work that is important for the Arab countries, and we hope that it will be discussed at the meeting in the presence of representatives of our partners in this field from regional and international institutions with a view to making practical recommendations.
