It sounds like Iraq will have a completed Government in the near future, hopefully Tuesday. I think the minister of the Interior is one of the eight ministries that have yet to be voted on and given confidence to.

I too am looking for a completed/seated/announced Government. In fact it's the only thing I am currently watching for.

CBI is looking for "Suitable Environment". Suitable (8) letters, Environment (11) letters. Just thinking out loud, November 8th comes to mind
Backdoc always liked the 8th.

Five important economic events expected in global markets this week

4th November, 2018

With the start of a new week in the global markets, investors are waiting for important economic events, notably the start of the implementation of US sanctions against Iran. There is also a state of anticipation for the results of the midterm elections and the Federal Reserve meeting in the United States, as well as companies continue to disclose the results of their quarterly business.

UK economic growth

The United Kingdom reveals its GDP data for the third quarter of this year on Friday amid positive expectations.

It is estimated that economic growth in the UK will record 0.6% in the three months ended last September, on a quarterly basis. The outlook is higher than the economic growth rate in the second quarter of this year, when the economy grew 0.4% on a quarterly basis.

Business results

This week, about 70 companies in the Standard & Poor's Index report their quarterly results for the third quarter of this year. So far, 74 companies in the US index have revealed their quarterly results and 78% of those companies have exceeded analysts' estimates. Among the companies scheduled to announce the results of their quarterly work "Walt Disney", and "Qualcomm", along with Japanese companies "Toyota" and "Softbank".

US sanctions against Iran begin

US sanctions against Iran begin today US sanctions against Iran are punishable by companies that import oil from Tehran. There is considerable speculation that this measure will reduce supply from Iran as a result of expectations for some countries and companies to refrain from importing oil from Tehran to avoid sanctions. In the past, US President Donald Trump called on the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to increase oil production to stop rising prices without official movement from those countries, despite statements that it pledged to maintain balance within the market.

US midterm elections US

Voters will go to the polls on Tuesday to select candidates for Congress and state mandates. The results of those elections will demonstrate how President Trump has been able to pass additional tax cuts and trade reforms along with other legislative provisions. Under these elections, either party will have control over Congress or whether the People's Assembly and the Senate will be divided.

Fed meeting

The Federal Reserve Board is due to start its monetary policy meeting next Wednesday to approve the interest rate, with expectations that it will remain unchanged. At its last meeting last September, the bank decided to raise the interest rate at levels ranging from 2% to 2.25%, amid expectations that the bank will carry out another additional increase this year.

The Federal Reserve faced sharp criticism from Trump in the past period, criticizing the rate hike, amid criticisms of the bank's independence and decisions. LINK
