The Euphrates -

The governor of Dhi Qar Yahya al-Nasseri, the migration of more than 4,000 families from the areas of the marshes towards the cities of the province, because of the scarcity of water that is exposed to those areas.

Naciri said the central government had not responded to repeated demands to allocate a special share of water to the marshes.

He added that the continuation of the Marshlands within the list of world heritage is threatened at present because of this crisis, which needs to move quickly at the national level.
