Shafaq News / The specialist in the Iraqi affairs Ahmed al-Sharifi, on Wednesday, that the President of the Republic of Iraq does not need deputies, among that the creation of these positions came for the quota and the satisfaction of certain political blocs.

Al-Shuraifi told Ashqaf News that "the positions of the vice-presidents of the Republic of Iraq, is innovative and is a constitutional violation, in the context of the distribution of positions there are no positions of Vice-President of the Republic."

Al-Sharifi said that "the absence of Vice-Presidents, or referred to retirement or the abolition of positions from the ground will not have any effect at all, the work of the President of the Republic is limited tasks, and its role in the political process is a ceremonial, it does not need anyone to do it."

He added that "the referral of Vice-President of the Republic to retire a step in the right direction, the presence of these deputies was part of the process of quotas, they added these titles to expand the administration of political participation," noting that "I expect that the new President Barham Saleh will not appoint any deputy, Personalities committed to the Iraqi constitution. "

The Justice Ministry announced earlier in the day a presidential decree to refer former President Fuad Masum, and his deputies: Nuri al-Maliki, Iyad Allawi, Osama Nujaifi, to retire, while asserts an expert on Iraqi political affairs that the positions of vice presidents is a violation of the Constitution, And found for the sake of quotas.
