The Euphrates -

During a meeting of the National Security Council chaired by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Haider al-Abadi, the Cabinet discussed a number of issues.

The Council discussed the assassination and abduction crimes in Baghdad, Basra and other provinces, where a report was submitted by the intelligence services on the cases that took place and their causes and response and the results of ongoing investigations to uncover the threads of crimes and the importance of intelligence work to maintain the stability achieved security, .

"Our forces are still pursuing terrorist cells to organize Daqash, who is still active in neighboring Syria, and criminal crimes and assassinations are taking place, intensive security and intelligence work is being carried out to detect and prosecute them and to take strict measures to maintain security in parallel with the pursuit of terrorists," he said.

The statement also approved the memorandum of understanding and the strengthening of relations of friendship and cooperation security and intelligence between the Iraqi National Intelligence Service and the State Intelligence Agency in the Republic of Bulgaria, and discussed the electronic fingerprint system at airports and border crossings and take measures to implement it.

The council also discussed the classification of terrorist groups at the local and international levels and the need to continue monitoring these groups in order to arrive at a precise classification of them.
