Twilight News / The Presidency of Parliament set the beginning of next month as a deadline for the election of a President of the Republic.

Did not include the agenda for today's meeting in parliament vote on the candidate of the presidency, where the Iraqi constitution governs the resolution of the vote before the third of next month.

In this regard, the speaker of parliament Mohamed Halboussi announced the second date of next month a deadline for the vote on the president.

Al-Halaboussi announced at a news conference in Najaf that he was committed to the constitutional timing of the election of the president, although he acknowledged differences in views on the candidates.

The political custom in Iraq since 2003, with the post of President of the Republic of the share of the Kurds, was chosen by consensus between the two largest Kurdish parties, the Democratic, and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

The Union nominated Barham Saleh for the presidency, while the Democratic decided to nominate the President of the Office of the Presidency of the Territory Fuad Hussein for the post.

According to the Iraqi constitution, a president must be chosen within a month of the first session of the elected Iraqi parliament, which ends on the second of October next.
