Finance announces granting more than half a trillion dinars to Basra

The Ministry of Finance announced on Sunday that the amounts funded in the account of the province of Basra, for the implementation of investment projects and the development of regions and Petrodollar for the year 2018, amounted to more than 501 billion dinars .

Inspector General of the Ministry Maher Hussein al-Bayati said in a statement published by the official newspaper "Al-Sabah" that "the amounts funded in the account of Basra province for investment projects and the development of regions and petrodollar in 2018, was within seven payments ."

Al-Bayati added that "the first batch amounted to more than 121 billion dinars, within the annual allocations for investment projects, while the transfer of the second installment of up to 30 billion dinars at the beginning of September of this year, distributed on projects Petro dollars for industrial sectors, transport, communications, Education and Regional Development Program projects ".

He stressed that "the third installment under the title of operating expenses were more than 107 billion dinars have been transferred from petrodollar allocations to the province," noting that "the fourth and fifth was about 3 billion dinars for each batch dedicated to the study and design and implementation of an integrated water project capacity of 100 m 3 per hour and conveyance lines and expenses Operational for the Directorate of Water Basrah . "

The Inspector-General, that "the sixth installment, which exceeded 9 billion dinars allocated in the transfer of operating expenses reserve emergency to the annual operational allocations for investment projects and the development of regions," stressing that "the seventh installment was up to 229 billion dinars ."

Al-Bayati pointed out that "the amount allocated within the law of 50 percent of the revenues of the border ports of the province within the law of the budget of 2018 and added to the service programs within the operating expenses to implement the work related to the water sector ."
