Iran responds to the White House: Your policy has not only destabilized security and stability in Iraq

The Euphrates -
State Department spokesman Bahram Qassemi said on Wednesday that the White House statement on the riots in the Iraqi province of Basra in recent days, describing it as "lacking any credibility and is puzzling, irresponsible and irresponsible."

"The policies of tension and practices involving intervention and aggressive interventions of the US administration are the main cause of instability and violence and the escalation of tensions and division in the region," Qassimi said at a news conference in Tehran today. "The US policies in Iraq have only Destabilizing security and stability. "

"The recent circumstances and chaos in Iraq, including the attack and burning of the building of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Basra, are the outcome of these policies and their blatant, covert and impolite support for groups that promote and expand violence and extremism and turn them into daily routine," he said.

"The US administration must bear the responsibility of its continued support for years of such groups in the region," he said, adding that "issuing such provocative and suspicious statements, which are considered to be somewhat forward-looking, can not reduce their responsibility to provoke tension and attack Diplomatic sites and government buildings in that country and the rest of the world '.

"A secure and growing Iraq is always one of the demands and priorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the conspiracies of another party can not prevent the development, advancement and consolidation of these longstanding relations," he said.

The United States warned Iran that it would "respond quickly and decisively" to any attacks carried out by Tehran's allies in Iraq, which could lead to injury to Americans or damage to US installations.

The statement issued by the press secretary of the White House, Iran, that it did not intervene to prevent attacks in recent days on the US consulate in Basra and the compound of the US Embassy in Baghdad.

The statement said: 'Iran did not act to stop these attacks launched by agents in Iraq supported by funding, training and weapons'.

"The United States will consider the regime in Tehran responsible for any attack resulting in casualties among our personnel or damage to US government facilities," he said.

The statement warned that America will respond quickly and decisively in defense of American lives.

Three mortar shells landed inside the fortified Green Zone in Baghdad, where the US embassy is located, on Friday, but caused no injuries or damage, according to the Iraqi army.

It was the first such attack in several years on the Green Zone, which houses parliament, government and foreign embassies.

The US consulate is in Basra near the airport, which was attacked by rockets on Saturday. There were no reports of damage or casualties.

The angry protests in Basra against political corruption erupted, and angry protesters stormed Iraqi government buildings last week.

They also fiercely attacked Iran and held it responsible for the worsening situation in Basra, setting fire to the Iranian consulate, and chanting slogans against Tehran and its influence.
