The Iraqi parliament avoids Zinni's "threats" and explains why he stayed at the hotel

Shafak News / The media department of the House of Representatives avoided responding to the talk of the head of the age, Mohammed Ali Zinni, about the threat he was forced to live in a hotel in Baghdad.

"We are demonstrating to the public opinion that Mr. Mohamed Ali Zinni, the current speaker of the current House of Representatives, is staying at the Al-Rasheed Hotel near the House of Representatives, which is present on a daily basis," the department said in a statement.

She added that "Zinni will manage the session of the Council scheduled to be held on Saturday, 15/9/2018, which will be the election of the Speaker of the House of Representatives and his deputies."

The head of the Iraqi parliament, Mohammad Ali Zinni, announced today that he had been subjected to an attack in Baghdad, adding that security control had saved him as he resorted to his hotel in the Green Zone complaining of his glitch compared to his limited material resources.

"I am now besieged in a good hotel with my protection after being subjected to an attack by suspects," Zinni said on his Facebook page. "The Najda Baghdad police have brought me back to this hotel, which is still my residence."

"This place is a good hotel that is expensive and it is not my job to live like this expensive hotel and I would like to live in a place that suits my physical situation no more and no less but what a hand of trick."

He pointed out that "some talk about the monthly salaries imaginary received by the Iraqi MP and I am from them and may now become bloated belly and this is nonsense," asserting, "I did not receive one dinar until this moment from any side of the House of Representatives or the General Secretariat of the House of Representatives and all Masafi comes from my pocket. "

Zinni chaired the first session of the new parliament on the third of this month and the session on the events of Basra yesterday as the oldest member among the members (79 years), as indicated by the Iraqi constitution before the election of an elected president.
