The Central Bank of Iraq's foreign currency sales fell Wednesday to $ 169.4 million, against $ 176.09 million on Tuesday, at $ 6.69 million.
The Central Bank said in a statement read by "Economy News" that "the exchange rate amounted to 1190 dinars per dollar, in the auction held with the participation of 31 banks, and one company only for financial transfer."
"These sales are the results of an auction on Thursday," the bank said, adding that "total sales totaled $ 199.5 million."
Amounts sold to strengthen bank balances abroad were $ 168.4 million, while total cash sold was estimated at $ 31.1 million.
The Central Bank, according to the statement, "The sale of amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, while the cash sale will be at the same price."
