The Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday the toll of the dead and wounded in the demonstrations in Basra, noting that all its cadres are exhausted to provide all services.

The official spokesman of the ministry Saif al-Bader in a statement received Alsumaria News, a copy of it, "the outcome of public demonstrations in the province of Basra hit 68 wounded, including 41 civilians and 27 of the security forces with 5 martyrs of the demonstrators."

Al-Bader added that "the ministry is in constant contact with the health of Basra to follow up the health conditions and the provision of medical and health services for any incidents during the demonstrations and provide them with all their needs of medicines and blood bags and medical supplies." He pointed out that there is no shortage of medicines and medical supplies.

He added that "all the cadres of the ministry is exhausted to provide all services and follow-up from the center of the ministry with the Department of Health Basra."

The leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al-Sadr, on Tuesday, expressed his anger over the aggression of "trampled" security forces on the demonstrators in Basra.
