The Euphrates -

The head of the Virtue bloc Ammar Tohma, on Monday, to the meeting of the 'Round Table' of the winning blocs, committed his request to 'redress the sharp division deepened by the session of the first parliament'.

"In a statement, the first session of the parliament indicated the continued division and deepening of the division, which threatens further fragmentation and rupture, which will disrupt the completion of constitutional obligations in their specific times and delay the formation of the government and the consequent continued suffering of citizens.

He added, 'We reiterate our call for the winning blocs to meet in a round table to overcome the state of division and trenching and activating the participants and the completion of a realistic government program and discuss the criteria and specifications of candidates for prime minister and the mechanisms chosen in the General Assembly of parties involved in the two nuclei competing to form the largest bloc'.

"Otherwise, the dispute over which party will form the largest bloc will take a long time and create a tense political climate and conflicts that threaten the stability of the political scene, and further anger the street and undermine confidence in the entire political process."
