The "Shabab" newspaper published a report entitled "Iraqis are killing the population" in the cities of western Iran.

According to the report, Iraqi travelers to the border areas of western Iran are not coming for tourism, but to buy and buy government-subsidized foodstuffs in Tehran because of the fall in the dollar exchange rate against the riyal as a result of economic sanctions imposed by the United States.

The newspaper said that Iraqis are competing with residents in those areas for food items backed by red and white meat, edible oil and other materials.

Iraqis who come to areas of northern Iran and tourist sites are rejuvenating this sector, while their counterparts coming to the border areas of western Iran are causing great harm to the population of these areas, the newspaper said.
