Iraqi communications announce cutting Internet service .. For this reason!

It will last ten days

31/08/2018 - 14:50 Iraq

The Iraqi Ministry of Communications announced on Friday that Internet service was cut for two hours a day to prevent fraud attempts during the second round exams for middle and middle school students.

The second round exams will be held for Iraqi students starting on Saturday, September 1, and ending on the 10th of the same month.

"The Internet service will stop from 6.30 am to 8.30 am for two hours," the ministry said in a statement.

She added that the daily pieces will last ten days and be for exam days only.

In the past period, Iraq has cut off the Internet in an attempt to prevent the leak of ministerial questions through social networking sites and instant messaging applications, as it has already done before.

The Ministry of Education is trying to prevent students from cheating using smuggled mobile phones and Internet-connected equipment in exam halls.

Internet service cuts were also repeated last year.
