US economic sanctions against Iran could harm Iraq if it decides to abide by it, putting it in a critical position.
"Iraq shares a 1485-kilometer border with Iran and relies on its eastern neighbor for almost everything, from gas supplies to electricity to water to food, all due to the US invasion of the country last year," said a report by Politico. 2003 ".
