The Prime Minister of the Armed Forces, Haidar al-Abadi, announced on Friday his refusal to remove the popular crowd from cities he described as "enormous" in Iraq and to clear the scene to a sympathetic organization.

"We are in all international conferences and everywhere we say that the crowd is an institution that follows the state and the commander-in-chief of the armed forces and we have stood up against anyone who wants to distort his image," Abadi said during a visit to the popular crowd.

"The evacuation of the crowd from huge cities should not be subject to political pressure, gangs, urging us to drive them out and defeat them, but they have cells and ideology that we should continue to fight," he said. "The sudden evacuation of the square will give terrorist groups an opportunity to attack citizens."

Abadi stressed that "the constitution and laws prevent confusion between the security and military and intelligence work with the political," stressing "refused to be political parties in the crowd."
