Abadi: New plans have been put in place to find alternative revenues for oil

15-08-2018 03:39 PM

Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said on Wednesday that Iraq will win in reconstruction, noting that new plans have been put in place to find alternative revenues for oil.

"Iraq will win again in reconstruction, construction and job creation by uniting us just as we did in the war to promote and achieve security and stability," Abadi said in a statement at the Iraqi Economic Development Conference.

Abadi praised the efforts to develop Iraq, which he expressed in Iraq first, pointing out that this expression is not directed against any other country, but is a reason for cooperation with these countries for the benefit of Iraq.

"Iraq first means more development, job creation, investment and economic development," he said, noting that he has been "through wars and siege and therefore does not stand with the siege of any country as a result of what happened to the citizens of Iraq before."

He pointed out that 'the demands of citizens are responding to them and in each of the meetings of the Council of Ministers are issuing decisions to a number of provinces and we have formed the Committee of reconstruction and services to consider these requests and implementation'.

He explained that 'Iraq needs alternatives to oil because dependence on it will be a complete imbalance, indicating that the government has developed new plans to find alternative revenues for oil as well as benefit from the associated gas, which was burning,' noting that 'sustainable development projects are able to provide jobs and eliminate Unemployment and we are walking this matter '.

He stressed that 'the world believes that it has an interest with Iraq because Iraq today is strong and has the ability to rise'.
