The International Investigation Team on Crimes has set a date for its work in Iraq on Thursday.

A statement issued by the High Commission for Human Rights, said that 'the head of the High Commission for Human Rights Aqeel Jassim al-Moussawi received the head of the international investigation team for crimes, calling Karim Asaad Ahmed Khan in the presence of members of the Board of Commissioners and included the meeting discussed the role of the Commission on Human Rights to provide adequate assistance to the international team in charge of investigating crimes And according to the UN Security Council Resolution No. 2379 of 2017 '.

Al-Moussawi said during the meeting that "the Commission has documented since the beginning of its formation and until today thousands of violations committed by gangs, calling criminal against the components of the Iraqi people and included in official reports submitted to the international community and under the dome of the Human Rights Council in Geneva."

For his part, the international envoy Karim Khan 'happy with the joint cooperation with the Commission because of the capacity and teams competent worked to document the crimes committed by the criminal elements against the components of the Iraqis'.

He pointed out that 'the team will start its work in Iraq in early November this year and will have the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights the largest role in working with the international investigation team to document the crimes of Dahesh'.
