Minister of Water Resources sets the date for the end of the crisis of water scarcity in the country

Thursday 2 August

Alsumaria News / Baghdad
, said Water Resources Minister Hassan al - Janabi, Thursday, that the water scarcity crisis will end in the next winter, pointing to the existence of understandings with neighboring countries on a fair share of water to Iraq.

Al-Janabi said in an interview with Alsumaria News that "there is a shortage in water, but it is enough in the case of commitment to water quotas," noting that "the health will end in the coming winter after the rains."

"There is coordination and understandings with neighboring countries to reach an appropriate and fair water quota for Iraq," al-Janabi said.

The Iraq suffers from severe shortages of water as a result of lower revenues rivers Tigris and Euphrates, accompanied by a large shortage in the prevention and downstream countries.
