The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alaq, on Sunday, the convening of the National Economic Development Conference in the capital Baghdad mid-August next, stressing that the conference will see the participation of major economic countries.

"Addressing and overcoming the challenges facing the country in the public and private sectors and creating an attractive environment for investment, through the development of mechanisms that promote this important aspect in various sectors, is what the conference aims at," Al-Alak said in an interview with the official Iraqi News Agency. Development of the national economy ".

He added that "despite the decisions made by successive governments on the support of investment and encourage the private sector, but did not do and there is bureaucracy and lingering in many quarters in their application of the lack of frameworks for instructions in the interpretation of legal materials."

Al-Aalak pointed out that "the conference will conclude recommendations to support the sectors, foremost investment, in addition to access to an attractive environment instead of the current environment, particularly the expelling of investment."
