Politicians accuse Iran of fueling southern protests

17-07-2018 04:31 PM

The Euphrates -

Protests continued in the southern provinces, with Iraqi pointing fingers pointing to outside parties.

The tense political situation in the country and the timing of the demonstrations in southern Iraqi cities prompted Iraqi officials to point fingers at Iran, which is striving to expand its presence on the Iraqi arena.

Tehran's accusation of playing a major role in blowing up the situation in the southern cities was also based on the timing of the Iranian decision to stop exporting electricity to Iraq, which comes in the summer, where temperatures are at record levels.
Iran, which has claimed to delay the transfer of Iraqi financial dues, is seeking pressure to form a new government in which Haidar al-Abadi has no role, allowing it to consolidate its presence in Iraq, according to analysts.

US sanctions on Iranian oil are another reason for Tehran to stir unrest in Iraq at this time, in an attempt to hit the giant Western oil companies, analysts said.

Iraqi politicians also see that Tehran, which seeks to destabilize the Iraqi street to achieve its goals, will not hesitate to use all its pressure papers on Iraq.

Enter Maliki- He's the one that instigates all the hate, and discontent, and he doesn't think anyone is going to do anything about it- Well, Maliki is going to hang, or be in front of a firing squad soon-Sadr is only going to tolerate just so much, and has had his fill of ignorance, and defiance- It is time..... Twisted Evil
