The leader of the National Coalition Iyad Allawi, called for the formation of a national rescue government and said it was the last attempt to address the situation of the country.
Iraq's southern and central provinces are witnessing widespread protests that have entered their first week of demanding basic services such as water, electricity and jobs.
Victims of protesters and security forces were killed in clashes near government and party headquarters.
"Iraq is going through a crisis that is perhaps the most serious, intensified after the recent elections, which were marred by many problems and appeals," a statement by the media office of the leader of the National Coalition Iyad Allawi told the twilight news.
"Due to the repercussions, in addition to the fear of the features of the return of terrorism and extremism, and the lack of resolution of the problem between Baghdad and Arbil in a serious and radical, the need arises today for real treatments lies in forming a government to save the country and calm the situation and hold new and fair elections.
Allawi, a former Iraqi government president, said: "The rescue government we are calling for will be the last attempt to deal with the crisis situation of the country, to be a government capable of fulfilling the citizen and meeting its needs. It is its responsibility to achieve stability and find immediate solutions to the most outstanding problems in the country. A situation that reassures every Iraqi citizen and rest assured. "
