Economy News Baghdad:

The Ministry of Industry and Minerals announced on Thursday the imposition of 115% customs duties in the framework of the support and protection of national products .

"The juice material was 15 percent, which is special for foodstuffs, and we imposed a fee of 100 percent on it, and the customs fee is 115 percent, " said the director-general of the ministry's industrial development and organization department, Alaa Mousa Ali .

"Recently, a resolution was issued for 12 local products ranging from box, cream, detergent, glass, men's clothing and most of the private sector's products, which were issued last month and became the protection decision for 79 domestic products, " Ali said.

"The tariffs for these materials ranged from 5 percent to reinforcing steel and the printing of textbooks outside Iraq. The fees were 200 percent for the Iraqi printing presses after the owners of the printing presses filed a complaint and we studied them and found them capable of printing up to 300 percent, , Stressing that "the law of protection of products is a time decision for a period of 4 years subject to review and renewal"
