The Labor and Social Affairs Directorate in Wasit announced on Sunday that 285 job seekers had been provided with soft loans granted by the ministry to this sector.

Director of the Department Eng. Mohammed Mahmoud Ashour said in a statement quoted by the newspaper "Al-Sabah" and read by "Economy News" that "the Department of Employment and Loans in the work section Wasit, launched a new push number 24 to include 285 job seekers soft loans for small income-generating projects" , Adding that "those covered by loans are the unemployed from the ages of 18 - 45 years," stressing that "the borrower manages his own project and is entitled to receive more than a loan."

He added that "a large number of beneficiaries of the previous payments have returned the amounts received in full voluntarily, as they got a job in the state departments," pointing out that "the amount of one loan from the fund to support income-generating projects up to 12 million dinars, is paid in the form of Installments over five years, "explaining that" the Chamber decided to grant the borrower a grace period of one year and without interest.
