The media office of the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Massoud Barzani on Saturday that the latter met at the resort of Salah al-Din with the joint negotiating delegation to the alliance "open" led by Secretary General of the "Badr" Hadi al-Ameri and a coalition of state law led by Vice President Nuri al-Maliki.

The press office said in a statement today that "the guest delegation pointed to the role and position of President Barzani in the reconstruction of Iraq, and the sacrifices of the people of Kurdistan and the suffering and tragedies that have been exposed for decades, and talked about the historical relations between the people of Kurdistan and Iraqi forces and their sacrifices during the struggle against dictatorship.

The statement added that "in order to stabilize and real partnership and overcome the current political challenges in Iraq, he called on all parties to start a new phase does not repeat the mistakes of the past, and pointed to the impossibility of achieving any gain for any party, and impossibility of managing the political process in Iraq, "He said.

The statement added that the meeting "stressed the need for the return of all parties to the foundations and principles on which the new Iraq was founded after 2003."

Fadhil Mirani, secretary of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and Azad Barwari, member of the party's political bureau, attended the meeting.
