hit a new crisis is the interruption of water Asala with increasing hours of power cuts, a number of areas of the capital Baghdad, in conjunction with an unprecedented rise in temperature.

A number of residents of the areas of "Husseiniya, seven palaces, Sadiya, Dora, Asia, mechanics and Karra" and other areas, the interruption of water from their homes for long hours, coincided with the power outages.

Residents pointed out that the electricity cuts lasted for more than seven hours and 22 hours of interruption to the water of the lail, especially during the past three days, explaining that the water comes from the two hours from 4-6 am only, and in the day and even after midnight, you will not find water at all .

He warned residents that the water shortage has become a serious threat to their lives, "tragic", appealing to the competent authorities to find urgent solutions to those crises.

On a related note, Minister of Interior Qassim al-Araji directed Friday to the Directorate of Civil Defense to work on providing safe drinking water in areas suffering from water scarcity in response to a presentation by Alsumaria channel.

Al-Sumeriya channel had earlier offered appeals from residents of Baghdad to provide drinking water.

Most areas of the capital suffer from a severe water crisis, amid rising temperatures and low power supply.
