A security source in Baghdad said Wednesday that the explosion of the torch was caused by two explosive devices, while the death toll was 7 dead.

The source said in an interview with Alsumaria News, "The bombing that targeted the bird market in the area of ​​the flame north of Baghdad, resulted from two explosive devices."

The source, who asked not to be named, said that "the result of the blast killed one and seven wounded," adding that "a security force cordoned off the scene of the incident, and the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment and the body to forensic medicine."

It is noteworthy that the capital Baghdad witnessed from time to time car bombs, bombs and explosive belts, in addition to sporadic attacks targeting civilians and elements of the security services in different parts of them, resulting in dozens of people killed and wounded.
