The Euphrates -

The parliamentary legal committee confirmed on Saturday that Iraq will enter on Sunday «legislative vacuum» after the end of the life of the House of Representatives.

"The decision of the Committee Zana Said that today is the last days of the current Iraqi Council of Representatives, and tomorrow, Sunday will enter Iraq in the legislative vacuum," he said, saying that this does not mean entering Iraq in the constitutional vacuum, the government will continue to exercise its work.

He explained that the government will exercise its full powers, it is an elected government, and the constitution will not end when the life of the government or institutions, but the country will enter the legislative vacuum only, after the end of the life of the House of Representatives.

Iraq's outgoing parliament recently sought to pass a law that would extend its life, but has failed so far.
