The Arab Banking Summit in Paris is the largest Arab international banking gathering

On the 28th and 29th of June, the Arab Banking Summit will be held under the patronage of French President Emmanuel Macaron and in cooperation with the Association of French Banks, entitled "Medium Banking Dialogues" in the presence of the central bank governors in a number of Arab and Western countries.

The Governor of the Banque du Liban, Riad Salameh, Chairman of the International Union of Arab Bankers and Chairman of the Association of Banks in Lebanon, Dr. Joseph Tarbih, Chairman of the Union of Arab Banks, Sheikh Mohammed Al Jarrah Al Sabah, Governor of the Central Bank of France François Villeroy de Gallo, Governor and Chairman of the Bank of Kuwait Central Bank of Egypt Dr. Mohamed Al-Hashil, Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Banks Wissam Fattouh, Executive President of the Association of French Banks Mary Ann Ritaliani, Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan Dr. Ziad Fariz, Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq Ali Mohsen Ismail Alalak Governor of the Central Bank of Mauritania Abdul Aziz Ould Dahi, Chairman of the Palestinian Monetary Authority Azzam Al Shawa, Chief Executive Officer of the Central Bank of Oman Taher Bin Salim Bin Abdullah Al Omari, New Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia Marwan The Abbasid.

The opening ceremony will be held in honor of former Minister Adnan Al-Qassar and Adel Al-Qassar of Lebanon for the "Golden Union Medal of Achievement" award from Jordan, Sabih Al Masri and Qatar Ali Al Kuwari.

The summit will discuss several topics, including regional security, education, environment, financial technology and finance for medium and large projects including gas, oil and water, in light of regional changes and other topics.

Wissam Fattouh, secretary-general of the Union of Arab Banks, said in response to the summit that it was "the largest Arab international banking summit of 2018, one of the most important international conferences, which would put Lebanon firmly on the banking and economic scene."

"The invitations were made at the level of the heads of Arab banks and officials of major international organizations, including the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Le Figaro, the Union of European Banks (Brussels), Paris Europellis, Francophone Banking Union, Financial Services, International MasterCard, Global Foundation for Financial Education for Children and Youth in Amsterdam,

He explained that the Union aims at establishing a Mediterranean Arab region for financial and banking cooperation under the name of "Mediterranean Banking Dialogue Conference", to include the Arab countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea, such as Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Jordan and Lebanon, as well as European countries, Spain and France. "He stressed that" this call will have a positive impact on the region economically and is complementary to the Cedar Conference ", hoping that" this conference will have a positive impact on the region economically.
