On Tuesday, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) announced the sending of a protest note to the Iraqi Prime Minister, General Commander of the Armed Forces Haider al-Abadi, the Presidency of the Republic, the Council of Representatives and the Kurdistan Regional Government and the representative of the UN Secretary-General in Iraq on the deteriorating security situation in Kirkuk governorate. She explained that in the light of the above points and based on the concerns and concerns of the people of the city, we announce to you if the parties mentioned above did not find a quick and radical solution to this situation, we will have to resort to public pressure and support from the people of our city to confront and thwart any conspiracy threats.

The memo also comes less than a day after Aso Mamand, a member of the Kurdistan National Party's political bureau and a senior official in the party's Kirkuk center, warned that a dangerous threat to the city of Kirkuk was imminent. The organization's militants are openly watching and waiting for the opportunity to sneak into the city, stressing the need for the return of the Peshmerga forces to Kirkuk.

"If the matter is not dealt with, there is a high probability that Kirkuk will again face the threat of a sympathetic organization," Mamand told Basnews.
