Kuwait to form committee to draft trade agreements with Iraq

Economy News _ Baghdad

Kuwaiti Minister of Trade and Industry Khalid Al-Roudhan has called for the formation of a committee to draft agreements between Kuwait and Iraq, Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Rai reported Sunday.

"The Minister of Trade and Industry, Khalid Al-Roudhan, directed the formation of a committee to draft a formula for the agreements concluded between Kuwait and Iraq," the newspaper quoted a source familiar with the economy as saying.

The sources added that "the formation of the committee will be headed by trade agent Khalid al-Fadhel, and five members representing several bodies, including a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and another on customs, and a member of the General Directorate of fatwa and legislation, along with two members representing the World Bank."
