The Euphrates -

The US consulate in Arbil announced on Sunday the amount of money Washington has provided to deminers from several countries, including Iraq.

The United States has provided more than $ 2.9 billion to clear landmines and other dangerous explosives from more than 100 countries, including Iraq, the consulate said in a statement.

"Since 2014, we have spent $ 112 million in Iraq to remove explosives from the war against a terrorist organization," she said in a statement.

The local government of Nineveh and many non-governmental organizations have called for the removal of mines, unexploded ordnance and other military remnants from the city of Mosul, resulting from the era of war against an oppressive organization, but the response from the Iraqi government in this regard 'weak' according to experts and specialists.
