Commander of the Armed Forces Haider Abadi , on Thursday, that the organization "Daash" will end militarily "soon", while he stressed that the security challenge requires "intensifying the intelligence effort and cooperation citizen" with the security system.

"The Prime Minister, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Haider al-Abbadi, presided over a meeting of the National Cell of the Intelligence Coordination Council," the Prime Minister's Office said in a press statement. "The meeting discussed the work of the intelligence agencies and their future plans during the next stage, Eliminating terrorist gangs. "

"The military challenges of the armed gangs will be strengthened by the terrorist gangs and broken by terrorism in Iraq ," he said, adding that "the military will end soon, but the security challenge remains. This requires intensifying the intelligence effort and a plan of action that will be applied on the ground, And this is what we have done during the past period and continue with it and with greater efforts. "

Abadi pointed out "the importance of the citizen's role in cooperation with the security system," noting that "the past months have witnessed such cooperation, and contributed significantly to the establishment of security and the liberation of the areas."

"We need more cooperation in the coming period," he said, referring to "supporting this effort to provide security for citizens."

On Friday, November 3, 2017, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, Haidar al-Abadi, announced that Iraqi forces would regain control of al-Qaim district from the grip of the "Daash" organization in a "record period".
