RMC10 -- Noone truly knows what the removal of the 3 zeros truly means. There are many things that have happened to make many of us believe Iraq will revalue not redenominate their currency.

to my understanding the RD has to do with in country the RV ( just the change of the rate ) will happen out side of the country

Yep, they did revalue...It just went the wrong way...several times in the last 2 years from 1164 to 1182, but those don't count...

Iraq talks about redenominating their currency just for giggles. LOL The project has been stalled because of the security and stability issues they seem to be constantly having.

The RD (redenomination) has to do with the change to a new currency, replacing the old. The last reports coming from the CBI is that it will take about 2 years from when it's started until the new notes are put out and both the old and new notes will run concurrent for 10 years. That project has been put on hold for stability and security reasons. In a sense, it has to do with "in country" because the Dinar isn't used outside of the country, but you find it at various currency exchangers throughout the world. You'll most likely find the new currency at those same currency exchangers, when it becomes available.

The RV (revaluation) is a change in the rate posted on the CBI website. It can either go up or down. It's not just an "outside the country only" rate change. They use the rate posted at the CBI for various exchanges, both inside and outside the country. Iraq has only 1 official CBI site and it's https://www.cbi.iq/ . Any other site, news article, or Guru posting that doesn't refer to getting the rate from there is fake.

You have claimed that you don't listen or follow the Gurus, yet you make the same invalid assertions they do. Stop listening to them and reading their nonsense. There is enough real information out there from official sources and articles in the news from Iraq to let you know what's going on.
