Deputy presents a "road map" to end the drinking water crisis in Diyala

Alsumaria News / Diyala
announced a member of the House of Representatives for the province of Diyala MP Raad diamond Saturday, announced the launch of a "road map" to end the drinking water crisis in the province, while noting that Diyala on the verge of crisis "harsher" if not treated early , the phenomenon of waste and indifference .
In an interview with Alsumaria News, Al-Mas said that "80% of the Diyala regions suffer from a chronic water crisis, especially with the onset of the summer turning the lives of citizens into hell and pushing many to rely on unclean water sources such as wells or buying plastic containers that weigh heavily on the families" .
He added that he had "put forward a comprehensive map to end the water crisis in Diyala in front of the relevant ministries, which are composed of main axes, notably revival of work in four strategic water projects, which stopped work because of the economic crisis and excluded them from the paragraph 80%, which include (water project Bani Saad - - new Alht- Mansuriyah ) that will provide drinking water for more than half a million people and to secure emergency power lines for all piped stations and work on the lack of any excesses on those lines and shorten the stations. "
"The roadmap includes the formation of a high committee with powers to ensure the flow of rivers and streams without any excesses, and to work to hold violators accountable, as well as to develop a plan of action to ensure that water is collected regularly by the people to ensure financial revenues for the water department," he said.
