Iraq is the 37th largest country among the 100 countries listed in the gold reserve according to international financial standards and statistics and the World Bank's World Reserve Report, Iraq's Central Bank spokesman said.

Jabbar told the Journal News that "Iraq has gold in its vaults estimated at 89.8 tons and that this proportion represents 4.6% of its reserves of foreign currency," adding that "Iraq has not bought gold since the last purchase in April 2014, He bought 15.16 tons. "

"The Central Bank of Iraq announced in April 2014, the arrival of gold reserves to 90 tons to support the value of the Iraqi dinar."
