Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has strongly criticized the policies of Saudi Arabia's rulers, days after a summit in Riyadh accused the Saudi monarch of sponsoring terrorism, calling Saudi Arabia the "darling cow" of America.
"The Muslim community, like all other societies, faces some problems," Iranian media quoted Khamenei as saying. "Some incompetent people like the Saudis now control the fate of a gathering of the Islamic nation."
"The Saudis are tough with the believers and compassionate with the infidels," said Khamenei, who is the last word in all the country's strategic affairs. "They are buying milk and then slaughtering it when it is depleted."
Khamenei said that "the Saudi government believes that the best money can win the hearts of the enemies of Islam," noting that "these legendary riches are the national riches they offer to the infidels and enemies of the people."
He continued: 'Do not make appearances deceive you these (Saudis) Ayalon to fall and demise. These are invalid and there is no doubt in the disappearance of falsehood. They may stay for a few days, and that depends on the insured society and how it would deal with them. If the right approach were adopted, it would happen quickly, otherwise it might be long. "
"Iran is the head of global terrorism, but we are not taking the Iranian people by the logic of its regime," Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz said at the Arab-American Islamic Summit in the presence of US President Donald Trump last week. "The Iranian regime, Hezbollah and the Houthis The rule is the same. "
For his part, Trump had attacked Iran during his visit to Saudi Arabia, which saw agreements reached between the two countries amounted to 460 billion dollars, and said that "all countries that have a conscience to work together to isolate Iran."
Saudi Arabia broke off diplomatic ties with Iran after demonstrators stormed the Saudi embassy in Tehran and set fire to a part of the building in response to the execution of Shi'ite cleric Nimr al-Nimr by the Saudi authorities.
