I want your comments and opinions according to Iraq News Mosul Western part of the city, as of 2 month ago the city was 17% had be liberated reports last week stated that 70 % of that part of the city now has been liberated now that would leave only 5.12 % left that would need to be liberated according to Commander on the ground in Mosul they are with in day from being fully liberated from ISIL/ISIS

accord to reports they would not rise the rate till isis is gone now if this is true then we could see a rise in the rate as early as next week (this is not from the gurus)

If the reports aren't from the Gurus, can we see them?

Do you have the links?

I didn't see any link at the bottom when I went there.

If it's still there at the bottom for you, can you post that link here?

If your talking about this link, yes, it works:

http://www.iraqinews.com/iraq-war/iraqi-command-says-recaptured-areas-new-western-mosul-front/

But what I'm asking for is the report about the rise in the rate:

Would you have a link to those reports that aren't from the Gurus?

Once Mosul is liberated and security is in place that ISIS cannot return, that would complete about 10% of what is necessary to see the dinar rate rise.

Just because ISIS is gone from Mosul, does that mean the trillions ISIS holds in dinar will just evaporate?

Think!

@Allenj

OK...Gotcha.

Just a general statement from one of the many news articles coming out of Iraq.

Mosul liberation is only a part of the stabilization of Iraq. It's not going to happen in a short period of time. Stabilization is what's needed for their economy to grow. i.e. a "rise in value". They still have a country to rebuild...

Just for clarity, you were the one who brought up "reports" which wasn't present in the article.

Also, the "gotcha" is slang for "I got it" or "I understand you".

You may have mistook that to mean something else. My apologies.

Here's the article you posted a link to:

Iraqi command says recaptured more areas on new western Mosul front

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) The military command leading operations against the Islamic State in western Mosul said Monday its forces had recaptured more areas on a new front taken up last week.

The Joint Operations Command said the army’s elite Counter-Terrorism Service troops took over Wadi Akab and Ghanem al-Sayyed industrial areas, hours after commanders reported earlier gains in the northwestern axis of operations primarily taken with an eye on the IS-held Old City.

Federal Police chief, Lt. Gen Shaker Jawdat, said in statements that his forces took over Shuqaq al-Haramat district, while moving forward at al-Haramat al-Thaniya, approaching Ektesadiyen and the major Islamic State stronghold district of 17 Tamuz (July 17th). Jawdat said 16 militants were killed and several combat equipment were destroyed during the offensives.

Iraqi commanders have reported dozens of deaths among Islamic State militants and the recapture of large parts of districts falling next to the Old City from the northwest.

Also on Monday, a spokesperson of the Interior Ministry said ministry forces had killed 3320 IS members since the offensive to retake western Mosul was launched in February. Iraqi forces recaptured eastern Mosul in January after three months of fighting.
Iraqi generals say they currently control at least 70 percent of territory in the western side of Mosul.

No problem. Mis-understandings happen all the time. Even I do it. Maybe I shouldn't use American slang when posting since Dinar Daily is global?

Anyways, that's what this forum is all about. To have a discussion and to talk about differences. There may be no conclusions, but it's a discussion that others might find interesting.

Latest Info: http://www.iraqinews.com/iraq-war/monitor-islamic-state-kill-64-civilians-including-children-fleeing-western-mosul/

The article does state that about 90% of Mosul is under government control ... of course the city is also about 90% destroyed by now ... Mosul while important is not the end of this war, not even in Iraq, this will continue until ISIL is exterminated like the animals they are.
