PostSubject: I've been thinking about the liberation of Mosul being the Safety and Security card.   Thu Mar 09, 2017 12:58 pm

I do not know how the Iraqi government thinks, but I do know that logic is a rather universal language. To declare the Safety and Security of their country being established (enough) after the liberation of Mosul, I feel now, is foolish. Here is how I came to that conclusion:

A quote from an article published:
http://www.strategicstudiesinstitute.army.mil:80/pdffiles/of-interest-9.pdf

"...The town of Tal’Afar is located in Iraq’s northwestern Ninewa province about 240 miles from Baghdad, 30 miles west of Mosul, and 40 miles east of the IraqiSyrian border.3 Though there is no available official census count, it is estimated that 220,000 inhabitants live within the 9 square miles of densely-packed buildings..."

To put that into perspective here is a list of U.S. cities with around the same population (as posted below):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_population

For me to have put this into perspective, I considered my State in which I live, Washington, and likened it to Seattle just being liberated except for Tacoma or Spokane.

After this perspective, I don't see them logically saying the Safety and Security of their country is (probably not the right word, but) established or finished.

Any thoughts out there?

This doesn't pertain to the subject you want to discuss, but I had to make a comment on your statement.....  "I do know that logic is a rather universal language".  I'm going to have to add "except in Dinarland".  There are gurus that have been around 5+ years.  The "intel" they give today is just as wrong as it was back then.  There are people who still hang on their every word....  That is not logical!

OH...OHHHHHH! I just thought of something, maybe instead of running for president here, she should have run for president in Iraq. They are already on the brink of annhilation... she wouldn't have had to work as hard if anything at all. Or at least just illegally moved to their country and voted in their elections.
