US ambassador to the United Nations Nicky Healy began accurate and thorough study of international peacekeeping missions, which could result in reducing the number, thus AFP reported, citing a diplomatic source

The US Senate has approved on 25 January, Ms. Nikki Healy in the ministerial post, Permanent Delegate to the United States to the United Nations.

He announced that the US source said the commissioner would consider putting all peacekeeping operations of 16 supervised by the International Organization noted that it assess the effectiveness of the pessimistic majority of these processes.

The American diplomacy had earlier announced that her country intends to reduce the level of funding for peacekeeping operations in a way that makes it share of not less than 25% (currently the index is approximately 29%) which Seugb on other countries to increase its stake in the process.

The source pointed out a high probability close peacekeeping missions sponsored by the United Nations in Haiti and Liberia.
