The Iraqi Ministry of Justice announced the resolution of the oil-for-food program file lawsuits and to restore $ 150 million for Iraq.
The ministry said in a statement on Saturday, "it was during the past two days to resolve the oil-for-food file lawsuits after winning authorization from the Council of Ministers of the delegation negotiating team formed by the Ministry of Justice, with the participation of the Foreign Ministry."
He pointed out that the delegation, composed of Judge Ahmed rhomboid director of the legal department, and Qais al-Amiri adviser in the State Department negotiating to reduce the fees and the end of the file to complete the required legal procedures by the United Nations, and after obtaining the consent of the Prime Minister has been reduced nearly 80% of the amounts of the this suit, in addition to restoring the amount of up to $ 150 million to Iraq as a result of the resolution of this file.
The ministry pointed out that the most important files that the ministry follow-up, delivery and according to the law is the external file lawsuits and complete resolution of the direction of the interests of Iraq.
He pointed out that nearly twenty lawsuit has been resolved with the recent period in favor of Iraq, as a result of the extraordinary efforts exerted by the cadres of the legal department, under the supervision and follow up directly by the Minister of Justice d. Haider Zamili.
The statement quoted Justice Minister Haider al-Zamili as saying that the Ministry is going ahead to resolve all external suits the later files, and that the direction of decisiveness in favor of Iraq, he supervised directly on the course of action with the advanced cadres in the ministry, hoping near future, an end to these important files.
