Sorry for my two interjections, but call info was absolutely incorrect. I'll take a ban. Love IKO, 2-29-2016 seems very logical. Buying gold Eagles are being counterfeited. Badly. Silver traditionally 1/6 gold, so way undervalued. But old silver coins, less likely of counterfeit.

Gold is gold, silver is silver, you don't buy gold or silver coins for their face or numismatic value. Usually their melt weight is far higher than their face value, and any new coin will have little, if any, numismatic value beyond that. As long as the gold content is as stated, there is zero incentive for anyone to counterfeit them. Now maybe if they were only gold plated, but the weight would have to be accurate and that would be a lot of work.
