Paris club

Does anyone know where these guys are getting the info that the Paris was paid? And the claim that it was with dinar? Would love to see what is going on...... Anybody

According to the following, it would appear that on Feb 23, 2011, Iraq has ALREADY made a payment of $2.7 billion USD to settle commercial debt in an ongoing effort to comply with debt relief agreements and to protect the oil revenues from lawsuits. The Fed Reserve is now protecting all the Iraqi oil revenues from creditor claims. The DFI funds were converted to another mechanism that the Fed Res now holds in NY for Iraq.

Also, the IMF approved a $471 million disbursement of funds to Iraq under a Stand By Agreement, which has been extended to July 2012. Iraq asked for and did qualify to receive funds.... they are borrowing....

If I am reading these correctly, the $2.7 billion USD payment in Feb 2011 was to settle debts to Paris Club members, and the $400+ million USD was for payment for non PC member debt. Iraq appears to be settling member and non member debts concurrently, possibly putting their PClub Agreement in jeopardy. Payments HAVE already been made though....and in USD.

I can find NOTHING else pertaining to any payments done since Feb 2011 with regard to settling any Paris Club debt to member or non member countries. If anyone can find something, it would be appreciated. IMO, I believe the Feb 23, 2011 payment of $2.7 billion WAS the one due as scheduled for July 1, 2011.... I have seen NOTHING that ties the Paris Club Agreement in with any revaluation or tradeable currency requirements. If anyone has, please share it!

I'm open to other interpretations, opinions and input. If anyone can find ANY article to show additional debt relief payments since Feb 2011, it would be very appreciated, by many I'm sure....

Note: Iraq owes the Paris Club MEMBERS approx $8 billion. Everything else has been either forgiven or already paid off. Payment on that $8 B was to begin July 1, 2011 after a 6 year grace period at approx 3% of the amount due. They have 23 years to pay an annual payment of 3% until paid in full or more forgiven. This does NOT include any payments agreed on to NON MEMBER countries.
