Islamic State militants have kidnapped 127 children from the Iraqi city of Mosul and intend to turn them into blood-thirsty killers, it has been claimed.

The 11 to 15-year-olds were snatched with the intention of taking them to camps where they will be indoctrinated with the terror group's sick ideology, according to Saeed Mamouzini, an official from the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Mosul.

In these camps, the child recruits are taught how to fire weapons, wrestle and perform close combat moves, and are known as the 'cubs of the caliphate'.

Mr Mamouzini told IraqiNews.com: 'The organisation kidnapped, during the past few days, 127 children aged between 11 to 15 years.'

He said the children had been sent to special camps to be trained how to use weapons and the 'implementation of terrorist operations'.

'ISIS had kidnapped hundreds of children during the last period, and they were trained to carry out suicide operations,' Mr Mamouzini added.
The media official also revealed that one father killed two ISIS fighters in an attempt to stop them taking his son.

Earlier this week, a Yazidi teenager told how he was forced to feature in an ISIS propaganda video at a training camp where innocent boys as young as five were trained to become killers.

Raghab Ahmed, 14, also revealed how ISIS fanatics made him pray in front of an AK47 and taught him how to behead 'infidels', telling him: 'Grab the head, pull it back and cut from the neck.'

He and his family were abducted by the extremists when they stormed across northern Iraq last year, but spoke to MailOnline after escaping with the help of people traffickers.
