I have been learning the forex market and how to trade and make money from currency trading. I have spoken to alot of people on various forex boards, set up training accounts etc etc.

I have been mentored by a VERY successful man out of Canada for the last few weeks. I have sat and watched him make over $10,000 in less than 15 minutes on trades. I'm not saying this guy knows it all but he knows his stuff. He was bankrupt at age 30...and now has over $20million in assets at age 42...2/3's of that made off of Forex trading.

So what does this all mean...well, after getting to know him and asking various questions, I slipped in the IQD and VND conversation. Immediately he said stay away from IQD, he said that it is something that has been on the "junk" list for a long time. He said chances of it ever becoming a tradeable currency again are, and I quote, "none to none". He said that the main reason is that it they are so far in the hole as a country, and that the rest of the world wont let the value rise because that will raise the cost of oil exponentially. Now whether his reasoning behind why it is a worthless currency is legit or not, he said that he would never invest in it. The response that I got from several other veteran traders was that it was a scam, one of them even brought up our good friend Tony.

Now when VND was brought up, his reaction was totally different. He said this is one that alot of veteran forex traders
have had their eye on. His words were to the effect of "it's not something that is going to happen tomorrow, but it will raise significantly in value one day"

Now these aren't concrete reasons to give up on the IQD. I'm not saying that I am going to ever sell mine, but it's hard to argue with guys that are involved in currency trading on a daily basis and know what to look for. And as the now passed owner of Callahan Auto Parts once said...You can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking your head up a bulls ass, but wouldn't you rather take the butchers word for it?? In other words...listen to REAL experts...not crooks and idiots on the internet!!!!

My question regarding the VND is why would Vietnam want the value of the currency to increase?  It would hurt their economy w/all the exporting they do.

To an extent it would yes. They are in the top 5 rice producing countries in the world. THere is also talk that they have some untapped resources.

Again...it's not confirmed info...but honestly I'd rather listen to a guy who's made $15 million trading foriegn curriences than a guy who's stolen $4 million+ with bullshit scams and lies!!
