BAGHDAD / NINA / The Cabinet authorized on Tuesday Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to secure the requirements of the popular mobilization and the military effort in the face of the IS organization.
An informed source told the National Iraqi News Agency / Nina / that the Council of Ministers authorized the PM Haider Abadi, in the meeting held today, to meet the requirements of popular mobilization and military effort, including securing weapons and equipment and securing the salaries of volunteers.
The source added that the Council of Ministers welcomed the international support for Iraq in the fight against the forces of darkness and terrorism by providing air cover and logistical support for our military units, and the emphasis on respecting Iraq's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and will issue a statement in this regard ./End
